Questions, answered.
- What is paraxanthine?
- Paraxanthine is the compound your body turns most caffeine into: about 84% of it. It delivers alertness and focus with a shorter half-life than caffeine (about 3 hours vs about 5), and research points to less cardiovascular stress than caffeine.
- Is VOLO a caffeine-free energy drink?
- Yes. VOLO contains no caffeine. Its energy and focus come from 200mg of paraxanthine, supported by citicoline, L-theanine, and American ginseng.
- How does an energy drink work without caffeine?
- Many caffeine-free energy drinks rely on B vitamins or herbal extracts. VOLO uses paraxanthine, the compound your body turns most caffeine into. Much like caffeine, it keeps you alert by blocking adenosine, the brain chemical that builds sleepiness through the day, but it clears your system faster: about 3 hours vs about 5.
- Is VOLO stimulant-free?
- No. VOLO is caffeine-free, not stimulant-free. Paraxanthine is a stimulant closely related to caffeine. It is smoother, easier on your cardiovascular system, and clears out of your system faster.
- Will VOLO affect my sleep?
- Paraxanthine clears your system faster than caffeine, so a 2pm VOLO leaves less in your system by bedtime than a 2pm coffee or energy drink. Everyone's sensitivity differs.
- Does VOLO cause jitters or a crash?
- Fewer of both than caffeine. In a head-to-head study, caffeine increased reports of racing heart and nervousness while paraxanthine didn't, and every can has 200mg of L-theanine to keep the focus calm rather than edgy.
- What does VOLO taste like?
- White grapefruit — crisp, dry, and a little sweet. It is naturally flavored with zero sugar, and it is best served ice cold.
- When can I buy VOLO?
- VOLO is pre-launch. Join the Co-Founder list and you will be first to know when it ships — and you will receive a founding-customer discount on your first order.
