Our story
Why VOLO
The story behind it, told by the person who needed it first.

I — The habit
I loved energy drinks.
The taste.The lift.
Having something to sip while grinding through school, work, and workouts.
At 23, I was juggling college, a job, and staying as active as I could. Energy drinks weren’t a treat. They were how I kept pace: fast, focused, always moving forward.
I knew there was a cost.
The crash. The jitters. My heart pounding at a desk.
I called one or two a day “moderation.” I didn’t really believe it.
II — The wake-up call
Then came the wake-up call.
After a long day of work, I drank my go-to energy drink before a soccer game. Halfway through, I felt the surge: a racing heart, pressure in my chest. I put it down to playing hard. But after the game, it didn’t stop. My heart kept racing. I couldn’t sleep. I felt wrecked.
The next morning, I did something I never do. I went to the doctor.
The tests showed my heart had been under too much stress. Nothing life-threatening, but enough to send me to a cardiologist, just to be safe. More tests. More questions. And one line I haven’t forgotten:
As a doctor, there are two things I really hate. Energy drinks are one of them.
She told me to cut caffeine completely while we waited on my results. So I did. Cold turkey.
My results came back okay. But that was it. I couldn’t keep pretending caffeine was harmless, and I didn’t want to give up the daily ritual I loved.
III — The search
There had to be a better way.
So I went looking. I dug into the research on nootropics, stimulants, cognitive enhancers, and vitamins. I wasn’t after a quick fix. I wanted sustainable energy. Daily focus. A drink I could love and trust.
And it had to taste incredible.
That part wasn’t negotiable. The taste is what made me love energy drinks in the first place. A focus drink that tastes like medicine is one you stop drinking by Wednesday. If VOLO didn’t taste great, nothing else would matter.

I found paraxanthine, the compound your body turns most caffeine into. Then citicoline. Everything else grew from there, and every ingredient had to earn its place in a can I’d actually look forward to opening.

IV — VOLO
That drink is VOLO.
Volo is Latin for “I will.” It’s a caffeine-free energy drink for the entrepreneurs, executives, founders, and builders who are paid to think. People who want to be sharp at 2pm and steady through the meeting that matters, without paying for it later.
